Eyeball It Terms of Use

Effective date: 2026-05-01

Last updated: 2026-05-01

These terms apply to your use of the Eyeball It app published by PulsePoint Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the app.

These terms are governed by Apple's standard End User License Agreement, available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, except where these terms add to or modify it.

What Eyeball It is

Eyeball It is a suite of measurement tools that uses the sensors on your iPhone to estimate things like sound level, surface tilt, distance, and so on. The name says it: every measurement is an eyeball-level estimate, not a calibrated lab instrument.

Some tools (How Loud?, How Level?) can be quite accurate when calibrated; others rely on AR or sensor data that's inherently approximate. We try to be honest about which is which inside the app, but you should never rely on Eyeball It readings for safety-critical decisions: hearing protection thresholds, structural levelness, navigational distance, or anything where the wrong number could hurt someone.

Subscriptions

Available subscriptions

Eyeball It offers annual subscriptions:

  • All Tools ($4.99/year): unlocks premium features on every tool, removes ads, and supports Apple Family Sharing (up to 6 family members)

  • Per-tool ($1.99/year, one per tool): unlocks premium features on the specific tool only

Prices are shown in your local currency at the time of purchase. Apple sets the exchange rates per their tier system.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The renewal price is the same as the original subscription price, unless we publish a price change at least 30 days in advance.

You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal at any time in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Free trial / introductory offers

Eyeball It does not currently offer a free trial. If we add one in the future, the terms will be disclosed at the moment of purchase as Apple requires.

Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time. Canceling stops the auto-renewal but does not refund the current billing period. You keep premium access until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, the app reverts to the free tier and any premium-only data (like full history) becomes inaccessible until you renew.

Refunds

We don't process refunds directly. If you want a refund, request one through Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/. Apple makes the decision.

Family Sharing

The All Tools subscription is eligible for Apple Family Sharing. When the purchaser enables Family Sharing in iOS Settings, family members receive access to the subscription on their devices. If the purchaser leaves the family group or cancels the subscription, family members lose access. Per-tool subscriptions are not Family-Shareable.

Your data and account

There's no account. The app stores your measurement data locally on your device only, and uses an anonymous identifier (via RevenueCat) to track subscription status. See our Privacy Policy at [pulsepointsolutions.com/eyeball-it/privacy] for details.

What you can and can't do with the app

You can:

  • Use the app for personal or business measurement tasks

  • Save and export your own measurement data however you like

  • Cancel and uninstall whenever you want

You can't:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app's code

  • Resell, rent, or sublicense access to the app or its premium features

  • Use the app in a way that violates applicable law

  • Use Eyeball It readings as the sole basis for decisions where being wrong would cause injury, property damage, legal exposure, or significant financial loss. We mean it. The name is the disclaimer.

No warranties; limitation of liability

Eyeball It is provided "as is." Sensor accuracy depends on your phone's hardware, environmental conditions, and the laws of physics. We make no guarantees that any specific reading will match a calibrated reference instrument.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, PulsePoint Solutions LLC's total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you've paid for subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, in which case they apply only as far as the local law allows.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date and post a notice in the app's settings panel for 30 days after the change. If a change materially reduces your rights, we'll surface it more prominently and give you the option to cancel before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes that can't be resolved by good-faith conversation will be resolved in state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida.
